Group Classes
Pawsitive Teach offers many types of group classes. Group classes provide a
great place for socialization and an opportunity to teach our companions how
to focus when there are distractions. Classes are limited to 8 dogs or less.
Classes are taught using “Clicker Training”, a positive reinforcement, reward
based method. You will learn how to "mark" the behavior you like and then
reward it to reinforce your dog. In class we use mostly food as a reward, but we also learn about other
reinforcers and motivators, and how to use them in our everyday lives.
For equipment in class we’ll be using a flat buckle collar, a 6ft. leash, and
an Easy Walker harness. Please no choke chains, prong collars or Flexi Leashes.
Payment for class is due upon registration and is non-refundable. Cash,
Check, and Credit Card are accepted.
Puppy Manners - Those early weeks are such a critical developmental
period for your pup and the perfect time to start training. This class is for
puppies 8 – 16 weeks old. You will introduce your puppy to behaviors such as how
to walk nicely on leash, come when called, and polite greetings. Topics during class will include: housetraining, crate training, mouthing
or biting, jumping up and socialization. Classes are limited to 8 puppies or
less. This is a 7 week class. The first class is an orientation and is
without your dog.
The cost of the class is $175.00
Manners I - Classes are available for the first time beginner as well as
the more experienced handler looking to give their dog a new challenge. You will
learn to teach your dog to “Sit”, “Down”, “Come”, “Stay”, “Leave It”, “Wait”,
“Target”, “Settle”, “Drop It” and “Loose Leash Walking” as well as practice
polite greetings with other people and dogs. Every week offers helpful topics
for problem solving and enhancing the health and relationship with your best
friend. This is a 7 week class. The first class is an orientation and is without
your dog.

Manners II - This is an intermediate course where we will build on the
fundamentals covered in Manners I. In this course we will be working to the
AKC Canine Good Citizen requirements as you and your dog learn to work together
during exposure to increasing distractions. This is a great class to prepare you
and your pup for therapy work or beginning competitive sports. This is a 6 week class.
The cost of this class is $165.00
Rally O! - A fun and exciting team sport for dogs and their handlers!
Dog and Handler teams navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different
exercises to perform skills such as Sit-Down-Sit, Straight Figure 8, Send Over
Jump, Recall Over Jump. Teamwork is the emphasis as dog and handler move at a
brisk pace through the numbered exercise signs. This is a 6 week class. To

Agility for Fun - Looking for an outlet for your dog’s energy? This
introduction to agility class is a great way to exercise, build confidence
and just have fun together. This is a 5 week class.
The cost of this class is $150.00
Me and My Dog - Just plain fun with your best friend! Agility
equipment, playing games and even learning a trick or two. A fun filled
hour that you and your dog just won't want to miss! This is a 4 week
class.
