Day Training

Life gets hectic and boy oh boy can we underestimate everything involved with adding a puppy or dog to our already busy lives. No time for training…..no worries. Let Pawsitive Teach do it for you. Customized plans for you and your dog save time, money and frustration.

Day training is a concentrated training program, designed for busy guardians. Your dog or puppy is trained for you, in your home, while you are at work, or at home as an observer, as you go on with your busy life. As your dog progresses, we coach you on maintaining that good behavior.

You’ll be amazed at your dog’s improvement in a short time!

How do you get started?

1) The program begins when you call or email me to set up a consultation. During this 1 ½ hour session we will assess you and your dog’s needs, review your goals and create an estimate and plan for your customized training program.

2) Training starts! I come to your 3 times a week and work with your dog for approximately 1 hour per session. We will work alone (or you can observe), in your home, your yard, your neighborhood, your everyday environment…..all while you continue with your busy life.

3) At the end of each week, I meet with you, your family and your pup for an hour to show you what your dog/puppy has learned that week and show you how to get the same behaviors and how to keep those lessons fresh in your pup’s mind.

4) At the end of the program I will schedule a follow up session to check in on your progress, answer any questions and help keep things on track if needed.

In this program you will learn to motivate your dog using treats, play, social and environmental rewards, verses constant corrections. This program prohibits techniques that cause pain or fear for the dog. (So we will not be using choke chains, pinch, shock or citronella collars.) Many of the training exercises are in the form of games to help your pup learn in a way that is safe, comfortable and fun.
